NCEMNA would like to announce its upcoming course, "Writing for Publication," for mentees, mentors, and interested others. Lorraine Steefel, DNP, RN, a professional nurse writer and mentor, has been contracted to guide mentees through the steps of writing for publication in peer reviewed journals. She will conduct a webinar session, chat room and individual editorial consultation via phone and e-mail over a ten week period to guide participants to successful completion of a research report manuscript for submission to chosen journal.

Please join NCEMNA's national headquarters in welcoming our newest addition! Samantha Neal joins us as our new Program Coordinator. She will be working with our program activities, specifically the Nurse Scientist Stimulation Program. She reports directly to the Principal Investigator and works closely with the Program Directors, consultants, and contractors. Some of her other main duties include managing the NCEMNA office, tracking grant administration, facilitating communication, and writing grant reports.
Mrs. Neal is an experienced program coordinator and project manager with expertise in innovative problem solving and communication. Over her 11 years of projects with data and people, she has worked with research institutes, universities, healthcare foundations, public health agencies, and medical groups. | NCEMNA joined a total of 46 organizations from around the nursing community, representing over 842,000 registered nurses, advanced practice registered nurses, nurse executives, nursing faculty, and students, sent a joint letter to President Obama. The letter, dated November 24, 2009, thanked the President for the significant investments his administration has made so far to strengthen the nursing workforce and requested continuing support by making nursing a priority on the budget for the 2011 fiscal year .....Full Story
